Event description

Description

Stenberg College presents "An Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis, Autism and the Science of Behavior" by Dr. Kenneth Cole, PhD, RPsych.

After a brief overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dr. Cole will introduce the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). After more than 100 years of use, ABA continues as one of the most highly regarded interventions for supporting persons who have ASD. This workshop will feature a selection of the most commonly used ABA strategies. The techniques presented may also prove beneficial to any person who struggles with their social behaviours - autism is not required!

Dr. Kenneth Cole is a Registered Psychologist with the Sunny Hill Health Centre at the Children's Hospital of British Columbia. He is a former District Psychologist in School District #36 (Surrey) and currently provides ASD and ABA training province wide from the Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders (POPARD) for the Ministry of Education.

Please note that there is limited seating and registration is required in order to guarantee a seat. Thank you!
