Space is limited to maintain physical distancing. If a selected tour is full, or there are not enough tickets for your full family/group , please select a different tour time. Walk-ups will not be accepted at this time.

Join a Park Interpreter in discovering the remnants of an ancient lake and the glaciers that shaped much of Manitoba’s topography. We’ll explore an ancient beach ridge, and make some stops along the way to discover the boreal forest.

Location: Ancient Beach Trailhead (located in the Grand Beach campground).

Remember, vehicle permits are required year round in provincial parks. Park Vehicle Permits can be purchased and printed online at manitobaelicensing.ca or in-person at a park office.

Sunday Special Hikes! The hikes on Sunday morning will be presented with a special focus on a unique theme.

  • Sunday, July 4 - Black Blears: We’ll look for signs of these incredible animals as well as learn what to do when you come across one.
  • Sunday, July 11 – Citizen Science: Discover citizen science and how you can help biologists protect our diverse birds and wildlife.
  • Sunday, July 18 – Forest Forensics: What’s killing the park’s trees? Help crack the case and find the suspect by using forestry tools and techniques.
  • Sunday, July 25 – Nature’s Pantry: Discover the edible wilds that grow in the forest and how to safely and sustainably harvest these delicious treats.
