Event Details

Trace the history of Toronto’s domestic animals, from the gutter pigs who roamed the streets, to the thousands of horses that transported people and goods. In the 19th century, residents lived and worked among a large population of domestic animals that performed crucial labour and supplied much needed resources.

Accessibility: Certain portions of this tour may include walking on uneven terrain. Please contact Heritage Toronto at 416-338-0684 or info@heritagetoronto.org for more information.

The tour on September 21 is a dog-walking tour. We invite you and your furry friend to participate, but require pre-registration as spaces are limited.

Start Point: Berczy Park (35 Wellington Street East)

End Point: Corktown Commons Park (155 Bayview Avenue)
