Description
The Town of York Historical Society will hold its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, May 8th, at the historic Redwood Theater. Following the business meeting, there will be a special talk by guest speaker Adam Bunch and light refreshments.
FREE for TYHS members, $10 for non-members. Memberships and membership renewals will be available at the door.
All are welcome but space is limited. Please RSVP!
About Adam Bunch:
Author of The Toronto Book of the Dead, Adam Bunch is a well known Toronto historian. As the creator of the Toronto Dreams Project and the host of Canadiana, Bunch has written about the history of the city for Spacing magazine, Torontoist, and the Huffington Post. In 2012, he earned an honourable mention for a Governor General's History Award.
About the Redwood:
Built around 1914, the Redwood is open for performances, exhibits, conferences, dancing, and music events. Beautiful sprung hardwood floors, 18' ceilings, and exposed brick walls, this historic theater is wheelchair accessible.
