About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Mobile eTicket

For more than a decade, Bike Windsor Essex has been advocating for safer streets in Windsor and Essex County. Cycling in the region continues to grow in popularity, and our advocacy to ensure the safety and comfort of riders is needed more than ever. Cyclists deserve a network of safe and efficient cycle routes connecting the region, and we're here to support them.

Please join us at our Annual General Meeting as we share more about our work over the past year, vote in new board members, and hear what we've got planned for 2023. Only members are able to vote, so it's a great time to renew your membership.

We've got two wonderful guest speakers joining us, both of them experts in cycling law. You can look forward to a free-wheeling discussion about your rights and responsibilities from Chris Waters, Professor of Law at the University of Windsor, and Ian Brisbin (@VeloLaw), a Hamilton personal injury lawyer who is passionate about protecting and supporting cyclists.

6:30 pm - Registration, meet and greet with board members. Drinks/food for purchase

7:15 pm - Welcome and brief remarks by current board chair, call to order, housekeeping

7:25 pm - Official business and board elections

8:00 pm - Q & A with Chris Waters and Ian Brisbin

9:00 pm - Wrap-up, socializing and fun

We look forward to spending some time together in-person, and connecting with members.
