Let's Talk Unity Profiling

A brief introduction on how to profile a Unity application and ultimately improve its performance. We will cover the basics such as the difference between being CPU and GPU bound and how to determine bottlenecks, followed by which tools to use to help diagnose performance issues.

Studios can also book a 1:1 meeting with Unity. These 45min meetings will take place after the session so that participants can ask their questions concerning performance. If you are interested, please FILL THE FORM HERE, we will confirm if a spot is available. Make sure you bring your project on your laptop so that we can all get our hands dirty!

The Enterprise Support team at Unity consists of Developer Relations Managers (DRM) and Developer Relations Engineers (DRE). Audrey Paiment, Francis Pagé, Jennifer S. Roig-Deslandes and Paul Georges are all DREs working from the Unity Montreal office and will be presenting the talk. Christian Farley (DRM) will also be present to answer any questions. Our day-to-day consists of advising clients about Unity best practice, running profiling sessions with clients in order to attain improved application performance, to be the point of contact for client support requests of any kind, and to advocate on behalf of clients internally.

Unity is the creator of the world’s most widely-used real-time 3D (RT3D) development platform, giving content creators around the world the tools to create rich, interactive 2D, 3D, VR and AR experiences. Our 800+ person engineering team keeps Unity at the bleeding-edge of technology by working alongside partners such as Magic Leap, Google, Facebook, Oculus and Microsoft to ensure optimized support for the latest releases and platforms. Apps made with Unity reach 2.7 billion devices worldwide and were installed more than 24 billion times in the last 12 months. Unity is powering the real-time revolution, expanding beyond games and breaking into other industries including automotive, film, architecture, engineering, construction and more.
