About this event
Intersecting, based in Canada and Europe has developed a reputation for its skilled education and consulting services. Cole Gately and Pauline Kajiura bring a combined 50 years’ experience assisting organizations in embedding equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-oppressive practice into all aspects of workplace and professional life.
Their unique, engaging, and participatory workshop will be of interest to staff – from frontline to management – in corporate, non-profit, and health care settings.
Cole Gately, MA, is a mixed-race, trans man who graduated from Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at University of Toronto in 2010. Prior to co-founding Intersecting, he worked for 10 years in the municipal and non-profit sectors as an adult educator focusing on equity, diversity and inclusion. Prior to that he served as Street Outreach Coordinator in Hamilton, Ontario. He now divides his time between Europe and Canada.
Pauline Kajiura, BSc, is a racialized, adult-educator with 25 years' experience as a leader in the non-profit sector. She has worked for the City of Hamilton as manager of community initiatives, as executive director of a non-profit community information service, and as interim ED and financial co-ordinator at a Canadian sexual assault centre. Pauline lives in Ontario.
