About the Workshop

As part of the Coalition Creating Equity Edmonton, John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights and REACH Edmonton are hosting a full day workshop session for community groups interested in applying to the Government of Alberta’s Anti-Racism Community Grant. The next deadline for application is November 1, 2018. For more information about the grants, please visit the Government of Alberta ARCG (Anti-Racism Community Grant) website.

In this workshop, you will

  • receive background information on the grants,
  • the tools to apply,
  • meet other agencies working to address racism in the community, and
  • build a framework for your project.

The afternoon session will allow time to work directly on your proposal while having resource persons available to help develop ideas, ask questions and discuss collaborations. We encourage you to bring a laptop to be able to capture your work and have a proposal draft.

This workshop will be facilitated by Renée Vaugeois of the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights.
