We are excited to announce that SAISIA in partnership with Saskatchewan Intercultural Association (SIA) and Anti-Racism Network is coordinating a 2 day long online Anti-Racism Training: Module 1 for 60 front-line settlement staff. This represents an important move to address systemic racism within our sector, an effort that we identify as urgent given the of global awareness on racism raised by the murder of George Floyd in the US May of 2020.
Strategies to move organizations towards racial equity can only be successful when they involve all levels. You can find a breakdown for Module 1 of the training in the attached document.
Due to sizing and capacity restrictions, this first module of training will be open to 2 participants from your organization. Please identify 2 front-line staff from your organization and have them register before the spots fill up.
The training will run from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and be offered on back to back Friday's in January, February and March for the dates of :
• January 8 and 15
• February 12 and 19 **New dates
• March 5 and 12
At the end of the 2 day training each participant will be e-mailed a certificate of participation.
