This six-week support group is designed for adults who are expecting the death of a loved one
LEARN to identify the emotions of anticipatory loss
CREATE space for emotional acceptance
UNDERSTAND the two "wings" of mindfullness

May 3 - June 7, 2021

Each week the 1.5-hour session focuses on a theme:
- WEEK 1 – UNDERSTANDING ANTICIPATORY GRIEF
- WEEK 2 – SELF CARE AND COPING BETTER
- WEEK 3 – SELF CARE AND COPING BETTER II
- WEEK 4 – MEETING OUR GRIEF WITH SELF-COMPASSION
- WEEK 5 – CREATING PURPOSEFUL GRIEF
- WEEK 6 – USING GRIEF TO EXPAND AND CONNECT

This program is brought to you by Good Grief! Bereavement Healing Services, a registered charity. Thanks to generous donors, the fee has been reduced from $100 to $50 for all six sessions.

Meet the Co-Facilitators
Mark Weitz, MSW, is a licensed social worker with 17 years of clinical practice involving individual counselling for adults and seniors, caregiving counselling and health navigation. His goal as a psychotherapist is to provide the means to positively change mood, increase resilience and develop greater coping skills.
Eileen Jadd, MA, RSW, has been working for community service organizations in Toronto, both professionally and as a volunteer for over 25 years. Having obtained her certificate in Bereavement Education from the University of Toronto Social Work Continuing Education Department, Eileen began her new role as a Bereavement Educator and has been focusing her skills in assisting the underserved grief-stricken population of the GTA.
