Event description

Description

ALL BREASTS ARE BEAUTIFUL - so let’s have an event to celebrate them!

Join House of Anesi for a very special and fun night! Be a part of a unique fireside chat with Dr. Hillary Webster, Monique Bryan, Sarah Rennick, Zaina Moussa, Jalisa Luces-Mendes and Sarah McVie, talking about breast health, breast cancer, gender identity, hormones and why society's standards have influenced the way women view and love their boobs.

Together we will provide a safe space to discuss all things related to women’s health, hormones, breast cancer, hormonal therapy, gender transition, and society body and breast stigmas. Breast health is an important topic to us and through this event, we want to bring awareness to it. Come join us to normalize these important conversations.

The time has come to start a positive relationship with your breasts! We want all women to accept and love the bodies they have, including their breasts - whatever shape and size they are! It’s your body, your breasts and it’s time to fall in love with appreciating your boobies!

Just like the Anesi Bra, this event is inclusive, supportive, liberating and something you’ll want to be a part of!

Hillary Webster, ND

Dr. Hillary helps women balance their hormones to get their world-conquering energy back. When she was confronted with her own hormone struggles at a young age, her doctors thought everything was all in her head and dismissed her issues for years, so she became a naturopathic doctor to get better answers for herself. Today, Dr. Hillary tests hormones to get better answers for her patients. She loves grey sweaters, hates hard boiled eggs, and adores being active. She sees patients on the Danforth in Toronto and is almost finished her first book, called "Type A Rehab: How burned-out perfectionists can heal the body and mind to regain energy and happiness.”

Jalisa Luces-Mendes

Jalisa Luces-Mendes is a young, ambitious entrepreneur and the Founder of Toni Marlow Clothing, an innovative, inclusive clothing brand that aims to serve the queer community and those that feel unrepresented in the fashion industry.

Jalisa believes in defying gender norms, challenging stereotypes and working towards a positive progressive future. As a mental health advocate and QPOC Jalisa was named Youthline Trans Activist Award Winner in 2017.

Featured on How She Hustles, CBC, and Breakfast Television, Jalisa spends as much time as possible sharing their knowledge and building community. When Jalisa isn’t running a workshop or speaking on a panel they spend their time traveling and promoting Toni Marlow on the international stage.

Sarah McVie

Sarah plays quirky Mommy-and-Me leader and inept lactation consultant Val Szalinsky on three seasons of the CBC/Netflix Original hit comedy series Workin’ Moms. Most recently Sarah filmed an episode of the Emmy award winning children’s TV show Odd Squad. Currently Sarah and long time friend and collaborator Samantha Madely have a comedy series in development called Dog Lady. Sarah started acting at a young age and played many of the male roles in school productions, mostly because her voice was considerably lower than any of the boys in her class. Santa Claus was a particular highlight, and her parents encouraged her to bring the costume home for the holidays and visit the neighbours in character. Thus began her journey into character acting, improvisation and belly laughs. Sarah is a proud dog mom to Coco, her beloved Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu and Auntie to three marvellous nieces.

Sarah Rennick

Sarah Rennick is the founder of Mama Mobile Massage, the world's first in-home massage therapy service catered specifically to women's health and perinatal massage.

Sarah is a birth doula, infant massage instructor, certified personal trainer and prenatal massage therapy expert. She has been featured for her work in perinatal massage on CTV, Rogers TV and in collaboration with major mama/baby brands across North America.

Zaina Moussa

Zaina Moussa is a passionate Womanpreneur, Social Media Influencer and Keynote Speaker that is on a forever- chase to inspire and empower women. Zaina is the founder of Zuri Curated Events - an events company with a goal of creating meaningful experiences for women to be surrounded by girl bosses and females from all walks of life, which manifestly allows for empowerment and inspiration to flourish.
