If you are curious about meditation, mindfulness, Buddhism and community living, this event is for you!

We are excited to open our doors to you so you can see what we are about, what our facilities look like and feel like, learn more about us as people and what we can offer as a community. This day is meant to be free form and casual to allow for human connection.

There will be snacks and beverages available. Feel free to bring your friends and family!

This day is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who may be interested in our programming, but feels uncertain about whether or not our community is the right fit for them.

For your first time coming to Willow, you must fill out our New Guest Form in addition to signing up for this event to inform us about your health info, emergency contacts, etc.: https://growingwillow.org/guestform

***Dogs: We now have a special new resident at Willow, Kira (half greyhound, half husky, all adorable, polite, gentle, and magnificent). If you have sensitivities to dogs, please let us know. And if you'd like to bring a dog or cat, we can talk about the possibility of that based on our sense of criteria for what facilitates the best experience for everyone.

Cost:

Willow operates based on the gift economy and the Buddhist spirit of generosity (dāna). We aim to reduce financial barriers and make our teachings accessible to everyone.

We invite you to offer your resources based on your financial situation and your values—not based on any pressure, coercion, or holding to fixed ideas of producer and consumer unless, somehow, that supports your practice of virtue, samadhi, and wisdom.

We commit to offering the same experience whether you give above or below the gift range. If you are called to give more then give more. If called to give less or none then give less or none.

Shakyamuni Buddha taught that skillful, joyful, and beneficial giving of material goods is worthy of merit, yet more worthy is offering earnest practice and effort—heedfulness—in cultivating the mind and developing trustworthiness and friendship.

Practice discernment and great love; give freely.
