Join us for the fourth talk of the PhD Policy Studies Virtual Speaker Series, featuring Dr. Enid Slack.

About this Event

Speaker Dr. Enid Slack is Director of the Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance, Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. This talk will explore whether Covid-19 has led to fiscal crisis in Canadian cities. After Dr. Slack’s talk there will be a Q&A period.

About the presenter: Dr. Slack focuses on the fiscal health and governance challenges faced by large cities and city-regions in Canada and abroad. She has written extensively on property taxes, municipal fiscal health, intergovernmental transfers, development charges, financing municipal infrastructure, and metropolitan governance. She recently co-edited the books Funding the Canadian City and Is Your City Healthy? Measuring Urban Fiscal Health.
