Event description
Let’s talk about how to keep the middle thriving while holding up the top slice!

About this Event

Carla Beaton (Bio below) will be my guest speaker and she says:

We all need to maintain health and strength no matter what age. As we find ourselves in the middle of our children and our parents, it is difficult to take care of ourselves while we take care of others.

Learn how to know if you are good to go or perhaps showing some early warning signs that you need to slow down and focus more on yourself. Find out what interventions can be made to insure your health assets are maintained and you avoid body bankruptcy. Find out how to slow down your body clock.

Your parents and/or grandparents may be worried about losing their health or losing their independence. This may become something you worry about as well. How can we help? We need to talk about it now. There are times that health declines quickly and there are times health declines slowly. Learn how to be prepared for either scenario and what future technologies will do to help.

Carla Beaton has over 30 years’ experience as a pharmacist in the corporate pharmacy world. Her expertise is in senior care pharmacy, provincial health system policy and aging. As a senior executive, Carla works with leaders in government, research, academics and healthcare to develop and promote ways of rethinking aging to navigate the future.

Carla holds a fellowship with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, a Board Certification as a Geriatric Pharmacist and is a leader in the world of Long Term Care. Carla is passionate about advocating for older adults promoting a future of living independently at home and rethinking aging.
