Description
Award winning company Gadfly presents the Toronto Premiere of ARKEMY, a new production choreographed and directed by Ofilio Sinbadinho & Apolonia Velasquez.
It’s Dance storytelling that sits on the sweet spot between Artistry & Entertainment. Still Hype yet with Substance.
Gadfly’s body of work includes: Over 50 short performances (Ted Talks Toronto, Dance Matters, Bench clothing launch), participation in 18 festivals (Luminato, Nuit Blanche, Oakville Jazz Fest, Montreal Fringe, C27 Arts Fest Toronto), contributions to 12 charitable organizations (Sick Kids, Keep-A-Breast, Hip Hop for Hope), presented 7 Street dance events (The Gadfly Anniversary festival 3 years, TUDS the Toronto Urban Dance Symposium 4 years), two full evening theatrical work , and received 3 Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations, winning for Outstanding Performance – Ensemble in 2012.
