Speakers

  • Michael Schweizter, Gravity Union's CEO and lead consultant. As an increasing number of organizations adopt cloud technologies for document management and collaboration, it is important to manage compliance across multiple cloud applications and cloud solution providers. Michael will also examine technology design patterns that help reduce issues and risks in the Cloud, as well as produce benefits. Michael is the founder of Gravity Union. With many years of IT consulting and ECM experience behind him, his company has grown one thousand percent in only three years. Michael has deep Office 365, SharePoint ECM, and Collabware experience. In fact, he has led more Collabware CLM implementation projects than anyone else globally. He has assisted numerous customers in not only getting the most out of Office 365, SharePoint, and Collabware CLM but has also helped them to reach their organizational information management goals with astounding results. He was awarded the first Collabware MVP designation and is the creator of the “Seven Pillars of ECM” philosophy. Michael has a Degree in Computer Systems Technology and is a sessional instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
  • Jennifer Jansen (MAS) has been working for Tsawwassen First Nation since 2010. Her main role is to oversee information management for the Tsawwassen Government, and currently she is leading a SharePoint implementation project for the organization. She is also Tsawwassen Government’s FOI office and back-up Indian Registry Administrator. Jennifer graduated from UBC’s School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies in 2003 with a Master of Archival Studies (First Nations Concentration). Previously she has worked for the District of West Vancouver as an assistant archivist, for the City of Vancouver as records analyst, and as a claims researcher for the Indian Residential Schools Resolution sector of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada.
  • Christine Fedoruk was the principal drafter of the Legislative Assembly’s first digital information strategy. In her current role as Special Project Leader, Digital Information Office, Christine provides strategic guidance, advice and coordination in the development and implementation of specific initiatives that advance the Assembly’s digital information strategy. Christine holds a Master of Information Management degree from Dalhousie University and has been part of the Legislative Assembly’s leadership team since 2002. Join Christine Fedoruk for a discussion of how the Legislative Assembly developed its first digital information strategy in 2018, and get a sneak peek at what’s next for its new Digital Information Office.
