Description

Artist Talk: Along The Camino de Santiago from Pamplona

Join us for a lecture rich with imagery from artist and TSA Faculty member Jacqueline Treloar as she details her pilgrimage along The Camino de Santiago during 33 days in July & August from her starting point in Pamplona.

This pilgrimage route was the first to be listed on the European Cultural Itinerary in 1987, and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.

Jacqueline embarked on this journey as a promise to her sister: that she would be in good shape for her 70th birthday this November. She prepared for the 20 km of walking required each day.

Among the things Jacqueline Treloar will share during thisanimated lecture are her experiences of four major cathedral cities (Pamplona, Burgos, Leon, & Santiago), immense restoration projects such as the windows of Leon and the original front façade at Santiago, and her tales trekking across the provinces of Navarra, La Rioja, Castilla e Leon, & Galicia and using four languages to engage with other pilgrims and get out of some tight spots!

Would she do it again? Come and find out!
