Description

Theme: Developing a Mid-Sized Performance Space

We're hosting a roundtable session to further build on the conversation that began at Salon #4's Mid-Sized Performance Space Working Group. There were so many questions and ideas that we've decided it's best to host an entire Salon session devoted to discussing our needs and wants for a space, and how we can best prepare ourselves of the City of Brantford's year long Mid-Sized Performance Space Feasibility Study that is set to begin in Spring 2018.

1. Artists’ Huddle with VIAs

Meet new people, talk about your work, and get inspired by what others are doing while noshing and drinking.
Food and Drink available from the bar.

2. Performance

Marcia Pereira from Metronōm – Multidisciplinary Artist & Vocalist, Brantford – will engage us in a musical performance with diverse soundscapes examining the human relationship between language and emotion.

3. Roundtable: Developing a Mid-Sized Performance Venue

Sharing insights from the past year doing reflexive consulting research with the Brantford/Brant arts community, Wiktor will deliver a short presentation and then lead a roundtable discussing our needs and wants for a mid-sized performance space.
