Event description

Description

The Arts Matters academic conference provides undergraduate students from around Atlantic Canada with an opportunity to come to the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and showcase their critical thinking, research, and creative work before an audience of their colleagues and peers.

The theme of the 2019 Arts Matters conference is "Leveraging knowledge to influence change.” Arts Matters is an interdisciplinary conference so we encourage submissions from a wide range of disciplines.

APPLY TO PRESENT AT ARTS MATTERS

Fill out our submission form. Make sure to include your abstract or project description* of no more than 300 words. The deadline for submissions is February 8th, 2019.

If you have a project that you would love to share but you don’t know if it fits, please send us your abstract as we are looking to build a highly diverse program of presentations. We will be accepting abstracts and project descriptions from all social sciences, humanities, and liberal arts programs. We are accepting abstracts in either French or English and encourage the submission of creative work and multimedia projects. Accepted presenters will be invited to give a 12-15 minute presentation during one of the conference panels on Saturday, March 23rd.

*If you plan to present a creative project with a visual component (e.g. visual art project, digital art, etc), please include images of your work with your project description.
