Speaker Bios:

Naren Kalyanaraman, Partner, Financial Services Cybersecurity & Privacy Leader, PwC

Naren Kalyanaraman is an accomplished business technology consultant with extensive experience in advising US, Canada and global financial services clients. He has served over 25 clients on cyber risk & security topics including the development of IT & Cyber risk strategies, performing risk & security assessments, defining target operating models, design and oversight of remediation programs and managing security solution implementations. He has assisted several financial institutions by improving their risk posture, and addressing regulatory findings, audit issues and other internal weaknesses in IT.

Kathleen E. Butterfield, Partner, Financial Institutions Group and Business Law Group

Kathleen Butterfield is a partner in the Financial Institutions Group and Business Law Group. She is also Co-Leader of the China Subgroup. Kathleen frequently works with banks, insurance companies, trust and loan companies, and other regulated and unregulated financial services providers on various commercial, transactional and regulatory matters.

An experienced corporate lawyer, Kathleen’s clients also include large national and multinational organizations. Kathleen takes the time to understand her clients’ businesses, objectives and pressures and provides them with practical, innovative and useful solutions. Her experience across a cross-section of specialties within the corporate commercial space gives her a wealth of knowledge and expertise which she can draw on to assist her clients.

Farah Bundeali, Partner, KPMG

Farah Bundeali, is a partner at KPMG in the consumer markets assurance practice. With over 21 years of experience at the firm and 11 years as a Partner, Farah has served large multi-national public and private companies primarily in the retail sector including clients such as Loblaw Companies, Hudson’s Bay Company, Shoppers Drug Mart, Maple Leaf, Cara Foods, AGT and many more.

Farah has branded herself as a retail leader in the firm and chairs a retail share forum enabling retailers across the GTA to come share and learn about best practices and emerging accounting issues.

Roxanne Wong, Senior Manager, EY Law

Roxanne is a Senior Manager/Senior Associate Lawyer with EY Law LLP’s Tax Law Services Group. She has over a decade of experience in tax advisory, controversy and litigation, a significant portion of which was spent as Crown Counsel for the Department of Justice (DOJ) representing the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Ontario Ministry of Finance (MOF) in various tax matters before the Tax Court of Canada, Federal Courts of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal and Ontario Superior Court of Canada. As Crown Counsel, Roxanne also acted as legal counsel to the CRA in relation to highly adversarial and complex tax matters to the CRA’s Audit and Appeals Divisions.
