Description

In celebration of Asian Heritage Month, please join us for a session to learn about traditional Chinese hand knotting. Chinese knotting is a symbol of the Chinese culture which in the old days was passed on from mothers to daughters. In royal palaces, craftsmen designed elaborate patterns to be hung as art pieces. In modern times, Chinese knots are still used to signify the culture especially at special occasions.

This session includes a brief presentation of traditional knots and their meanings. Participants will get hands-on experience to make their won to bring home! *This craft requires fine motor dexterity. Help will be provided when required.

Space is limited. Please call 416-396-8970 to register.
