Setting the Bar for Excellence in Online Distance Education
Faculty, tutors, academic experts and staff are invited to attend the Learning Conference, which will be held on April 27th and 28th, 2018 at the Leduc Executive Royal Inn. To facilitate travel to the conference, a bus has been scheduled to bring people from Calgary. The bus will pick up at Bow Valley College at 12:00 pm on Friday, April 27th, and will leave the Executive Royal Inn at 5:00 pm on Saturday to return to Bow Valley College. If you wish to take the bus from Calgary, please select that option on the registration page.
The theme for the conference is “Setting the Bar for Excellence in Online Distance Education”. The online learning environment is dynamic and always changing, and Athabasca University wants to set the bar for excellence in online distance education, and to distinguish ourselves from other institutions in the environment. This conference is intended for faculty, tutors, academic experts and staff who are engaged in the scholarship of teaching and learning and who are designing innovative courses and working to break barriers to educational opportunities.
Presentations will fall into one of three conference tracks:

Track 3: Services, Systems and Policies for Supporting Learning
