Description
At the Food Bank we like to welcome you to volunteer with your family, Helping out at the Food Bank is a great family bonding activity as well as a great awareness tool.
Our Family Sorting Nights are an opportunity for families from our community to visit The Food Bank of Waterloo Region for an evening of food sorting and a tour of our facility. This is an opportunity for families with children under the age of 17 to volunteer together.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Food Bank of Waterloo Region also offers a variety of daytime and evening sorting sessions for corporate and community groups. Please register your group on our website, space is limited.
Donation:
Please bring a donation to support the work of The Food Bank. A bag of Phil’s favourite things* or $20 for a family. Tax receipts are available for all cash donations or proof of food purchase.
You may make your donation by cash, credit card or cheque when you arrive.

Attire:
For many of the volunteer activities you will be working in a warehouse environment and heavy lifting will be required. For your comfort and safety, please wear closed toe and flat footwear. Work gloves are optional. Dress comfortably and in layers as the temperature can fluctuate.
