For those who are interested in learning more about the body, how it functions, and all the interconnections, this is part one in our Authentic Anatomy series. Whether you're a Yogi, Dancer, Personal Trainer, Athlete, or just someone with a curiosity about how our bodies functions, come join us for some learning and fun! Join Jodi and Joey for part one - the core - where we will discuss and explore the organs, tissue anatomy, neuroligical function, and how all of this relates to movement and our overall health. This will be a very interactive learning environment, and we will spend much of the time moving our own bodies to better understand and apply the knowledge presented. Questions are most welcome, along with open dialogue. We want you to leave feeling empowered by what you have learned!
No previous anatomy experience is necessary, this is also open to those wishing to deepen their practice. For Yoga Teachers, Movement Teachers, Body Workers, and Personal Trainers, this will help you to deepen your knowledge of specific core movement and function in various settings and movement types. We have spent the last several months developing this program to make the knowledge accessible to all learning styles, as well as all levels of anatomical and functional anatomy knowledge.
Jodi Cronyn is a Yoga Teacher, Registered Massage Therapist, and former dancer. Joey Barker is a Yoga Teacher, Board Certified Structural Integrator, and former Paralympic Athlete. Both have spent much of their live learning and studying the human body, its functions, and specific modifications when it comes to injuries and injury prevention. Mostly, we just want you to feel good!
