Description

Program Description

New research affirms that very few Canadian people of colour, Indigenous peoples, and women have sponsors, despite being highly ambitious and willing to “go the extra mile” at work. We also know that bias continues to impact the career development of women and diverse professionals. At a time when many leaders and HR and inclusion professionals want to be more effective in their diversity efforts, they continue to be challenged on how to ensure that all team members receive inclusive advocacy and support—and stay at their organizations.

Drawing on her years of diversity-focused research and work, at this breakfast session, inclusion expert Ritu Bhasin will share what she has discovered is the “must-do” for building inclusive environments and relationships across cultural differences: cultivating authentic leadership. If we truly want to improve our retention of women and diverse professionals, we must create organizations where leaders and team members are better equipped with the skills to bring their whole selves to work. In this thought-provoking presentation, Ritu will teach attendees how to make this happen.
