Waiting List Speech-Language and Occupational Therapy Clinic/

Rencontre avec une orthophoniste et une ergothérapeute pour les enfants inscrits sur la liste d’attente.

 

Children on the OAP (Ontario Autism Program) waiting list have an opportunity to receive a one hour direct visit with Rachel Pessah, a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and/or Elizabeth Jones, a registered Occupational Therapist (OT), from Bright Spot Therapy Services. An assessment and a short summary of results and recommendations will be provided. More detailed reports are available at an additional cost, which can be discussed during the assessment time.

Please contact Rachel Pessah (SLP) at 705-221-2787 or info@bright-spot.ca to book your appointment, starting January 8th, 2018.

Assessments will be conducted at Beautiful Noise Music Studio at 131 Spruce Street South, Timmins ON P4N 2M7.

Les enfants inscrits sur la liste d’attente du programme ontarien des services en matière d’autisme (POSA) se verront offrir une séance d’une heure avec Rachel Pessah, une orthophoniste autorisée et/ou avec Elizabeth Jones, une ergothérapeute, toutes deux du groupe Bright Spot Therapy Services. Une évaluation et un bref résumé des résultats et recommandations seront ensuite remis aux parents. Il y aura cependant des frais supplémentaires pour les rapports plus détaillés, ce qui peut être discuté durant la période d’évaluation.

À compter du 8 janvier 2018, vous pourrez communiquer avec Rachel Pessah, orthophoniste, pour prendre rendez-vous. Par téléphone, 705-221-2787, ou par courriel à l’adresse info@bright-spot.ca.

Les séances d’évaluation auront lieu dans un studio de l’école de musique Beautiful Noise, de Timmins, en Ontario (P4N 2M7).

General FAQ


1.) Do I need to print out ticket or email confirmations to attend this event?

For most of our events there is no need to print anything, unless the event specifies otherwise.  When you arrive at the event, you will have to check in at the registration desk.  You will be asked for your name and how many people are attending with you.  That's all.


2.) Do I need to bring proof of diagnosis?

No, not needed.  Again, just check in at the registration desk and enjoy the event.


3.) Is there a cost to attend this event?

Almost all of our events are free of charge because the cost is covered by Autism Ontario's Potential Programme, in partnership with Ontario’s Ministry of Children & Youth Services and the local Autism Ontario Chapter.  If there is a cost, you will see it on the registration page when you select how many ticket you want.


4.) Do I need to be a member of Autism Ontario to register and participate?

No.  While membership does provide other great opportunities, events provided through Autism Ontario’s Potential Programme are open to all families of children with ASD, under the age of 18, who reside in Ontario.
