Description

When we talk about cities as centres of innovation, what does this mean?

Cities are now at the forefront of social and economic change. How does a city foster a sustainable innovation ecosystem that can generate economic prosperity while managing clusters of ideas that must coexist together to feed this innovation process?

As we collectively tackle these challenges, how do we keep the human element of our society in mind when looking to build a centre of innovation within a city? Why do governance mechanisms and the interaction between public, private and civic actors matter for vibrant and successful innovation ecosystems?

As we strive for this inclusive innovative future, what steps do we need to take to support our cities?

Join us for this thought-provoking talk with Professor David Wolfe, one of Canada's top experts on public policy and urban innovation. He will provide us with his knowledge on the political economy of urban innovation and how it will shape the economic prosperity and innovative future of our city.
