If you’ve always wanted to write but didn’t know where to start or if you have been writing a while but are unsure how to progress, this 6-week course is designed especially for you!

Learn how to generate ideas and turn them into stories, novels, plays, memoirs, or poems - how to develop characters, settings, dialogue, & structure plot - use imagery, rhythm, rhyme, & other poetic techniques.

Friendly and informal -a mix of discussion, instruction and writing exercises with individual guidance.

Instructor: Gerard Beirne has been teaching writing for over 28 years - community based and university writing courses. He has published 6 books of fiction and poetry. Hennessy New Irish Writer of the Year Award winner, shortlisted for the Danuta Gleed Literary Award (best first collection of short stories published in Canada), Bord Gais Irish Book Awards and Kerry Group Irish Fiction Award.
