Event description

Description

After B-Xalted!'s sold out debut concert of Handel's Messiah in December, the choir prepares for its spring concert, offering an excitingly diverse program — from Mozart's Coronation Mass as the cennterpiece to works by Haydn, Bach, Brahms, Vaughan Williams, and three works by contemporary Canadian composers. The May 22nd concert will be a much anticipated event, so please book early as last time we had to turn people away. (Please be aware we are offering a limited number of $15 underemployed tickets.)

CONCERT PROGRAM — Haydn: 'Insanae et vanae curae'; Mozart: 'Coronation Mass' and 'Ave verum corpus'; Bach: 'Sheep may safely graze'; Tallis: 'If ye love me'; Byrd: 'Sing joyfully'; Brahms: 'How lovely are thy dwellings fair'; Vaughan Williams: 'Loch Lomond'; Canadian composers Rupert Lang's 'Agneau de Dieu', Nancy Telfer’s 'Silence' and Tom Bell's 'To be a pilgrim'.
