HELPFUL TIPS FOR TONIGHT!!!

Step 1. Make sure you're on a desktop or laptop computer. Remo works optimally on the Google Chrome browser. It's also highly recommended to use headphones in Remo during the social event. Once we enter the zoom dance party portion feel free to ditch the headphones and blast your speakers 😉

Step 2. Head over to your ticket confirmation, scroll to the bottom of the email where it says "Additional Information" there you will find the link to the Remo landing page where you will register for the event.

Step 3. You will be taken to the Remo landing page where you will see our welcome message as well as a green button that says 'save me a spot' where you will be prompted to register your profile for the event. If the event has already begun you will see a button that prompts you to join the event.

Babes on Babes is back! We’re virtual...We’re Queer and as resilient as ever.

For anyone who is new to Babes On Babes, we're a Queer long weekend event and dance party based out of Vancouver, Canada. We're a collective of artists, DJs and event producers with the shared passion to showcase and celebrate local and international Queer talent.

We are thrilled to announce that we’ll be using a new-to-us platform to bring our community together through queer music and culture from the comfort of your own hopefully solid wifi connections.

This virtual venue will offer a unique way for us to build new friendships that transcend space and time zones. Let’s expand on how we show up and hold safer space for the Queer community! We may have had to pivot but we’re embracing the change and choosing to grow.

And let’s face it, we really miss you and we’d love to connect and vibe. Are You in?

We're v excited to announce our production partnership with Sum of Us!

They'll also be hosting our awesome unique Babes virtual social hour from 7pm-8pm!

Sum of Us is the leading producer of diverse and inclusive events in North America. They use a virtual platform called Remo, which is a 2D interactive map with virtual tables or rooms. Remo simulates real time interactive mingles and events, allowing attendees to have control over who you interact with and which tables they move too. Attendees are able to use video, audio, and chat to interact in real-time from anywhere around the world!

In true Babes format, this is a multi room event with our dance party taking place on zoom and our social hangs in Remo. Feel free to jump back and forth from room to room.

• DJ LYKX

LYKX is a self-taught artist born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She has been curating music through different means for over a decade. A master of her craft : she is not only an open-format DJ but also a sound engineer, producer, composer, re-mixer & turntableist. Passionate, hard-working and dedicated, LYKX has been nominated in 2018 and 2019 to be one of six djs to represent Canada, in the planet’s most notable DJ competition: RedBull Music Thre3style.

LYKX is Canada's 1st Female National Champion! LYKX is one of Montreal’s hottest talents. When she’s not in the studio producing, she's rocking crowds, mind-blowing audiences internationally with her creativity, timing and selection. Combining hip- hop, funk, house and other assorted urbanized genres, LYKX’s captivating sound blends styles and covers eras, to create the ultimate musical experience!

• ASH BANKS

Despite her self-proclaimed anti-socialite persona, A$H BANKS is no stranger to the party scene. From Toronto to Montréal and LA, with formal education, label internships, and trial and error under her belt, she has spent over 15 years establishing a name for herself.

A$H’s early start in the entertainment industry consisted of her organic evolution from big sister role to the manager of her brothers’ twin hip-hop duo, A-Game. Over a 10-year span, A$H was accredited for multiple award nominations and the recipient of awards, which included both the MMVA (Much Music Video Awards) for Best Hip-Hop Music Video in 2012, as well as an award at the Reel World Film Festival that same year.

This industry exposure also provided her with connections to a music network, including the likes of credible Toronto artists, such as Drake, Kardinal Offishall, and award-winning producer, Tyler ‘T-Minus’ Williams, to name a few. A$H later oversaw the content creation and coordination of major tours and events, such as TI’s 2014 Canadian Paperwork Tour, Rich Homie Quan’s first Canadian Tour in 2015, as well as his American tour Rich As In Spirit in 2018, and the Montréal leg of the Drake and the 3 Migos Tour in 2019.

• CHINA G

Native to California and raised in San Francisco Elyssa Pon aka DJ China G has been a DJ and club promoter in the LGBTQ community for 18 + years. The International DJ is the co-founder/ promoter and DJ of the renowned queer party Rebel Girl from 2000-2009. DJ China G has also been featured in the San Francisco Bay Guardian and SF Weekly magazines.

• EASY BAKE COVEN

Inspired by gay bar gold, easy bake coven has been playing queer4queer parties since 2017. Playing music where old meets new - your favourite millennial nostalgia remixes, throwbacks & guilty pleasures, as well as house/disco sounds, divas, new wave, vogueing and dance floor beats. easy bake coven is the co-producer of Rhythm of the Night, a party celebrating underground queer arts and culture and a tribute to 90s club kid scenes. She has been a regular at Vancouver queer parties such as Man Up, Queers & Beers, and Le Hangover, as well as Blowpony (PDX). ebc lives to see queer joy on the dance floor!

• SKYLAR LOVE

Inspired by underground rave parties they attended in the 90’s Sky picked up their first set of turntables at the age of 15. Since then, they've witnessed the evolution of DJing and electronic music for over a decade and bring in the elements of old school and new school to their DJ sets.

Influenced by House, Bass music and Hiphop, this renegade DJ has love for all genres which is revealed through their original mashups and remixes. Skylar is a strong advocate on breaking barriers for queer DJs and has traveled all over headlining in major cities including Berlin, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Atlanta, San Francisco and Oakland. Skylar shows versatility through imaginative style and sound over live performances and recorded DJ sets. The mission is to take you on a musical journey of different beats, rhythms and sounds through the medium of freestyle mixing.
