Description
Has it been awhile since your last avalanche skills training? Review and renew your practical avalanche rescue skills, learn how to deal with multiple burial scenarios, practice post incident first aid skills, and experiment with building an improvise rescue t-bogan. In addition to learning modern companion rescue practices we'll also discuss trip planing techniques and the capabilities/limitations of local rescue resources to help you expedite an organized response to a backcountry incident.
This 1 day workshop will be based out of the White Pass.
Pre-requisites:
Intermediate backcountry skiing or boarding ability (ski touring equipment or Split board required).
Completion of previous AST 1 training within last five years.
