Are You Aware You Have a Legal Responsibility to Disclose An Attack?
"The median total cost of an attack was $133,000 – not just the cost of the ransom, but lost hours, downtime, device and network costs, and lost opportunities." - Sophos.com (01/02/2018)
"Global damage costs in connection with ransomware attacks are predicted to reach $11.5 billion annually by 2019." - cybersecurityventures.com (6/28/2018)

About the Speaker - Ian Taylor
Born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, Ian moved to the West Coast in 1999 and never looked back. He spent his early days as a ski-bum in Whistler, but when he decided to ‘grow up’ and get a real job he moved to Vancouver and began a successful career with a Fortune 500 company in the tech sector. Ian’s early successes led to his rapid promotion from Sales Rep to Client Executive, Sales Manager/Technology Specialist, and ultimately Regional Agency Owner. Ian was recognized as a leader among his peers and in 2008 he was recognized as one of Xerox Canada’s Emerging Leaders and participated in the Top Gun Leadership Development Continuum.
Ian is Business Development Manager for Tecnet Canada Inc., which is Canada’s longest operating IT Services firm and located right here in Victoria.
