Objective
To share the latest information on health care related issues facing the workers compensation system in Ontario today. To provide a range of perspectives, including academic, legal, front line, and lived-experience. To develop strategies for moving forward on the issues that are raised.

Both days will feature contributions from injured workers, academics, advocates, and healthcare providers.

Wednesday, April 25th - 6pm to 8pm

Keynote: Antony Singleton (The Law Office of Antony Singleton) and Maryth Yachnin (IAVGO Community Legal Clinic), authors of BAD MEDICINE: A report on the WSIB's transformation of it's health care spending.

Keynote address will be followed by:

Panel 2: Psychological Disabilities and Workers’ Compensation

WSIB introduced a policy covering some aspects of Chronic Mental Stress as of January 1, 2018. This panel will feature several presentations, including:

Panel 3: Adjudicating Complicated Health Issues

A broad based discussion of the unique challenges faced by workers, health care providers, and advocates, when dealing with cases with complex and interlocking issues.
