About this Event
The Town of Banff manages this skating rink to ensure people can enjoy a COVID-safe experience.
- Capacity is limited to 40 people at one time, according to provincial health directions
- Everyone must stay 2 metres away from anyone not from their household at all times
- Social gatherings are not allowed
- Groups of 10 people or fewer can visit the skating rink together (provincial restriction), but must maintain 2-metre distancing
- Shinny and hockey are not permitted. Single-person stick-handling is permitted
- Masks must be worn arriving/departing and when changing into/out of skates.
- People are encouraged to wear masks while skating
- no open alcohol allowed
This rink may be closed in the event of heavy snowfall, thawing or unsafe ice conditions.
Final day for this rink is March 14, 2021, unless warm weather forces earlier closure.
