If you would like to arrange a separate wildlife landscape photgraphy tour outside of this weekend, then please contact us for available dates for a private tour.
The workshop format:
The cirrucullum is concentrated on teaching proven landscape photography shooting techniques and composition in the classroom. We'll be supporting the classroom material with field sessions and on location shooting assignments. After the field sessions we'll head back into the classroom for editng demonstrations and hands on editing assignments for you to complete on your laptop with assistance from two of the most experienced photographers in the area. We want to help you to learn and improve as a photographer throughout the entire photographic process.
The Banff Photography Workshop is designed to help you become a better photographer in the field when you're shooting, and at home on the computer. We'll spend 2 days and 2 nights at the perfectly located Baker Creek Chalets teaching intensive photoshop techniques at the onsite conference facilities in this beautiful log cabin resort located just 10 minutes from lake Louise on the famous Bow Valley Parkway. We'll be presenting the workshop material in the classroom followed up with field sessions to practice these skills. The topics we'll be teaching include:
- Gear selection both landscape and wildlife photography
- Shooting technique for landscape photgraphy
- Shooting technique for wildlife photgraphy
- Nature photography ethics
- RGB to Infrared photoshop editing to produce IR simulated photographs like the one on this page
- Lightroom workflow
- Detailed Photoshop editing
After we demonstrate our editing workflow both of us will help you with some of your own images with some one on one time to help you edit the photographs that you've taken during the field sessions and assignments. This is a complete workshop with intensive instruction highlighting the entire photographic process from concept to completion emphasizing emotional communication throughout the entire process.
