Tour Description

Introduction:

The Banff National Park Landscape Photography Day Tour has been one of the most popular photography tours I've been hosting since 2007.  It's long success is a testament to it's value and quality.

It's no secret that Banff National Park is one of the most beautiful places in the world.  It's presence on the UNESCO world heritage's list for the environment, together with Jasper, Yoho and Kootaney National Parks, is not a coincidence.  The Canadian Rockies are one of the most beautiful places in the world.  I feel fortunate to have been calling them my home since 1996.  And, I thoroughly enjoy sharing them with other like minded photographers.

The Hiking:

We will be hiking on a Parks Canada hiking trail, ~5km round trip, to some beautiful views speckled with Alpine Larches and stunted Alpine Spruce trees.  The hiking loop we'll do is 5km in length with an ~250m elevation gain and will take about 3 hours to complete at a "photographer's pace."  The trail is well maintained by Parks Canada and the Alpine views with larch trees in the forground are amazing.  If the weather is poor, the hiking will be exchanged for additional vehicle based landscape photography and/or shorter walks at the guide's descretion.  Your overall comfort and enjoyment is my top priority.

The Banff National Park Day Tour:

Join me as I show you my home for the past two+ decades.  I'll use my intimate knowledge of the area gained through my 20+ years of professional photography experience in these mountains to take you to the best locations for landscape photography on the day of the tour.  I'm confident that I'll find beautiful landscapes to photgraphy no matter what the weather is on the day of the tour.  Banff is beautiful and I'm confident that I will be able to take you too the best landscape photography locations Banff has to offer.
