Abstract
Arthritis is among the most frequently noted condition for which cannabis is used therapeutically. We present findings from a sample of Canadians with arthritis to identify pathways and barriers to accessing and adopting medical cannabis. We compare the perceived effectiveness and risks of cannabis to other prominent treatments for arthritis, and contextualize these results within an ongoing program of research into access and use of cannabis for therapeutic purposes.
