Barter Based Learning Session: Basic Mitten Knitting

About this Event
Join knitting enthusiast, Rosalie, as she shares how to make a pair of mittens using four double pointed needles. Some basic knitting skills would be an asset for this workshop such as how to knit, purl, increase and decrease stitches.
Materials required:
Wool - 190 yards / 100 grams (I like Briggs & Little Regal wool)
Double pointed needles - sizes 3.5 and 4.5 mm
Stitch marker
Tapestry or darning needle
A pattern for a simple pair of mittens will be provided.
If this is your first time attending a barter-based skills-trade class, note that attendees are encouraged to bring an item(s) to offer in exchange for the knowledge shared in addition to any supplies required for the class. Our facilitator's preferred items are listed below to help identify fair trades:
In exchange for sharing her experiences and knowledge, our facilitator has asked for the following barter items:
Preferred trade items: Any local/homemade/home grown foods and products, wool and other natural fiber products -- second hand is great, eggs, kombucha. (we avoid non-organic grains as much as possible).
