In the early 1900s, Japanese who immigrated to Canada were greeted by the harsh reality of grueling labour, discrimination, and poverty. However, the fighting spirit demonstrated by the Japanese-Canadian baseball team brought a ray of hope to people's lives.

Nicolas wants to stop the mayor of his town from transforming a disused municipal baseball field into a garbage dump. With other kids in town, he becomes the leader of “la gang des hors-la-loi” to save the baseball field.

Late Life: The Chen-Min Wang Story (Taiwan, 2018)

This film follows the story of the first Taiwanese player for the New York Yankees, Chien-Ming Wang. It explores the struggles and the extraordinary journey of a man who is determined to fight his way back to the Major Leagues.
