About this Event
Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives. It is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings or by those in a healthcare training program.Basic Life Support teaches single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.It will train you to quickly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED through simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Content
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

The BLS Blended 120 format is designed for first time BLS learners and/or those who do not use their BLS skills on a regular basis. After successfully passing the online component (self-directed, but typically approx. 1 - 2 hours), students attend a 2-hour in-person skills practice and evaluation session.
Students have access to the online environment for the length of their certification. Once payment is received, students will receive access to the online component within 12 hours.

What can I bring into the event?
Please wear comfortable clothing to your class as you will be expected to perform CPR on our high-fidelity mannequins. If you have a BLS manual, please bring this with you. If not, you will be required to purchase a BLS manual either from the Heart and Stroke Foundation's online website or in-class from the instructor for a fee of $25. A Heart and Stroke E-Certificate will be issued upon the completion of the course.

What's the refund policy?
No refunds permitted. You may transfer to another course date within a year at no extra cost.
