Basic Tree Pruning: Fall Workshop
Sat, 22 October 2016, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM CDT
Pruning is an easy skill that can influence a tree's shape, flower and fruit production, and long-term growth. Learn the basics of how to properly prune a small tree to acheive the results you want! Learn about what tools you need (and which ones you don't), what to look for when buying tools, and how to care for them. Join ISA-Certified Arborist, Gerry Engel, for a short presentation followed by a hands-on practice session to try out your technique. Pruning tools provided, but you are welcome to bring your own! Duration: Approx. 1.5 hours. Meet at the new Duck Pond Pavillion.
Note: This is an outdoor workshop, rain or shine! Please dress for the weather!
