Have you ever wanted the opportunity to shape glowing hot metal with the strike of a hammer? Have you ever wanted to make decorative metal items or tools and lacked the equipment and skills? Finally here is your chance.

This class has been designed to teach the basics of blacksmithing. The class material will allow you safely begin learning about blacksmithing tools, techniques and materials. The skills and education provided will be a starting point for you to continue your education into the subject. The class can be taken repeatedly, learning new skills and techniques that build on previously learned material. This class will certify a student in the use of Site 3's blacksmithing equipment.

Each item created will give beginners the skills and confidence to move onto more challenging projects. Upon completion of this class, a certified Site 3 member will be able to use the blacksmithing equipment at Site 3 freely, providing their own material and consumables.
