About this event
Learn how to make beautiful Ukrainian folk egg art known as pysanky. This workshop teaches traditional and modern methods of applying melted wax and dye on real egg shells. This course is designed to give participant enough information to start writing pysanky on their own. Participants will learn basic egg division and design, wax application techniques using an electric kistka (stylus), and how to apply colours. Each participant will leave with a pysanka ornament of their own creation. All supplies included.

NOTE: Workshops will take place at the Yellowknife Senior Society (Baker Centre) which is wheelchair accessible. 5710 Franklin Ave, Yellowknife NT.
