The Richmond Beekeepers Association is a proud host of this year's British Columbia Honey Producers Association 97th Annual Fall Convention. The convention is a 3 day event including an AGM, conference, workshop and trade show.
Friday's AGM is only open to BCHPA members. This year's Saturday conference has expanded to include more speakers than ever. Experts will present on pest management practices for honey bees, the protection of pollinator habitat, queen-rearing and fertility, along with new breakthroughs in honey bee pest control. We are also organizing a series of side-by-side talks geared to both the newcomer/beginner and commercial/serious sideliner. Topics to be covered in Sunday's informational workshop will be on how to reduce colony loss, fall/winter/spring hive preparations, how to make comb honey and mead, top bar hive demonstrations plus much, much more.
