BC Services Card 101: Who, When, What, Where, Why .... AND HOW!!
Event Information
Description
The BC Services Card replaces B.C.’s CareCard, offering the same level of identity assurance as a BC Driver’s Licence, with a more secure design, an expiry date and a photograph of the card owner, all of which improve the security of citizens’ personal information.
A key aspect of the BC Services Card Program is to support government’s digital services strategy. Each Services Card includes a security chip, similar to those found in bank and credit cards, and adheres to the same strict technology and security standards followed by the payment card industry. This security chip is the key to transforming delivery of government services online, and can provide increased assurance and privacy when used in person.
Come and learn about the BC Services Card and see a demo of how it can be used to access an online service.
