BC Wide New Parent Support Meeting - Balancing Therapy and Respite
Event Information
About this Event
The BC Wide New Parent Support Meeting is a meeting for parents who do not live in the Lower Mainland of BC. These Autism Support meetings take place over zoom and are facilitated by Amanda Perry who is an experienced parent living in rural Hornby Island. Parents will share successes and ideas to facilitate running quality treatment programs for their children in rural BC or in areas where services are difficult to obtain.
In February, we will discuss the challenges of finding the balance between therapy and respite. How can you make the most out of the Autism funding, respite and other resources for your child?
Parents with a new diagnosis should first see the Autism Support Network’s video series found HERE, for a basic orientation in Autism and ABA before joining the discussions. At the discussions, parents can learn about ways to access services in their area.
Please RSVP through Eventbrite in order to receive the Zoom link.
