BC Women’s Economic Inclusion Roundtable Breakfast
Event Information
Description
Dress for Success Vancouver and Minerva BC are co-hosting a Women’s Economic Inclusion Roundtable for BC based civil society organizations - representing and serving the full continuum of women’s economic empowerment efforts - coming together with policy leaders from federal, provincial and municipal governments to share what we know; from frontline, to upstream best practices.
The round table will be a facilitated place of connection, co-creation, and community that will support knowledge transfer and retention in an accessible, intergenerational, and inclusive way.
We will host breakfast at the Canada Pavilion, curated by Canadian Women Deliver Mobilization, and have confirmed the attendance and participation of Presiden of the Treasury Board and Minister of Digital Government Joyce Murray and provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity Mitzi Dean.
This will be an inclusive room with twenty organizations represented by three individuals each: A senior leader, an emerging leader, and an enabling partner. This format allows for a diversity of thought and point of view as well as allows you to bring both a young person or key team member and a board member or key funding or organizing stakeholder with you.
Together we will look at three policy themes: Economic Reconciliation, the Continuum of Economic Empowerment (from frontline to upstream programming) and Facilitating Collaboration between organizations.
