Event description
Join Daniel & Jennie for their ECE 2 hr workshop on working together to create strategies for well-being in the time of Covid-19

About this Event

Children & teachers are dealing with feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, and stress during the current pandemic. The need for social distancing has taken us away from our communities of practice and from opportunities to create solutions together. This workshop will share some current research on the impacts of stress in young children to explore habits that enhance well-being. The hope of this workshop is to enable ECE’s to dialogue and apply their wealth of experience. Using Group discussions along with the Early Learning Framework of BC, we will all together create strategies to foster well-being for children and educators.

Daniel Lindskog-Wilson has been working in ECE for over a decade, and is currently teaching ECE at Vancouver Community College and Burnaby Community Continuing Education. He has a BEd in ECCE from Capilano University and presently working on his MA in ECE at UBC. His passions are Children’s literature, and has worked in both children’s bookstores for 14 years, and on curriculum development. Currently he has focused on curricula that work with children to develop responsive, emergent, and democratic curricula and its challenges.
