Estate Planning: Protecting Your Corporate Assets

Don't let the years you put into your business go to waste.

How do I protect myself, my family, and my business/assets in the event I want to retire or something happens to me?

A common question we hear all too often.

This is why we brought in our newest BCBusiness Thought Leader, Elyssa Lockhart of McQuarrie Hunter LLP, to discuss the tools and strategies to make sure you, your family, and your business are safe when it comes to your estate planning.

On February 28th, she'll be sharing details about protecting your corporate assets for the long haul so that you can ensure you’re doing the right the thing now and for the future.

Perhaps you’re looking towards retirement or just want to protect your corporate assets in the event of an unforeseen accident, Elyssa will discuss opportunities to hold your corporate assets, multiple wills, alter ego trusts, and the benefits of each to help you decide which best fit your needs.

She will share with us why it’s important to have a plan in place for transferring corporate & personal assets to the next generation, and how you can ensure your beneficiaries receive their inheritance with little delays.

Open to only 20 people this event will allow you to ask questions specific to your situation and your needs giving you much-needed direction for the next steps you need to take to ensure you are protected.

What are BCBusiness Thought Leadership Events?

The BCBusiness Thought Leadership events were started to help bring together the BC business community.

From the first event featuring President of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Bob Lenarduzzi speaking on his expertise regarding team leadership, these intimate talks have consistently sold out and have helped some of the top business minds in BC grow their teams and businesses.

Every speaker has been chosen because they are a leader in their industry and can bring not only insight into their chosen fields but also actionable takeaways that you can take away and use as soon as the next day.

More than a thought leadership talk, these events also feature a fully catered networking portion further connecting business leaders.

To keep the events as intimate as possible and to ensure every attendee gets the most out of it we only open it 20 business leaders, allowing everyone in the room to ask questions and engage with the speaker.
