Description

The Vancouver Institute for Visual Analytics (VIVA) is pleased to announce that the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) has become its latest institutional partner, joining Simon Fraser University (SFU) and The University of British Columbia (UBC).

To celebrate this collaboration, BCIT and VIVA invite Vancouver businesses and analysts to a special event to mark this important Canadian visual analytics initiative.

Organizations everywhere are embracing analytics to take advantage of their increasing data capital. Effective analytics requires an ability to explore this Big Data. This is why interactive visual analytics has become the underpinning of many recent business intelligence tools. To use these tools, however, there is a growing demand for trained people who are able to employ them appropriately.

With Visual Analytics Research and Instruction (VARI) laboratories at SFU and UBC, and soon at BCIT, and various academic, professional and continuing education programs, VIVA and its partners will offer the best visual analytics education and professional training in Canada.

We invite you to join us to celebrate our new collaboration.
